This is the third block for the lap throw begun in lesson 60. See lesson 61 for how to knit the border stitches/use stitch markers, etc. Cast on 18 stitches using a slingshot cast on and knit as the other blocks using 6 rows of garter stitch at the beginning and end of the block and 3 garter stitches at the beg. and end of each row. The INSET portion is a 10 row repeat. Stockinette sections alternate with garter stitch. The PATTERN of the inset is: Rows 1 -5: Front stitch; Rows 6, 8, & 10: Back stitch
Rows 7 and 9: Front stitch
REPEAT this 10 row pattern once more (20 rows completed of 24 row pattern inset)
Front stitch 4 rows to complete pattern inset.
Garter Stitch Ridge can be knit over any multiple of stitches. It is NOT a "reversible" pattern.
